CUSTOMER 'BILL OF RIGHTS".....As a supervisor in today's work environment, you are probably responsible for 2 to 3 times the workload of 10 years ago, with one half the manpower. With the demands you face, you can't risk a supplier who will just drop off a product, hope it works, and then disappear. At Richard G Catherman & Associates, LLC every client receives a copy of our "Customer Bill Of Rights". It spells out, in plain English, exactly what you can expect from a company committed to implementing the best solution for your water treatment needs, and to providing the continuing support necessary for long
term success.
DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS.....Success in a water treatment program is often the result of little details that make a big difference.
1. Are you following proper blowdown/bleed procedures?
2. Are you drawing your water test samples from the correct location?
3. Are you following the proper procedures prior to and during shutdown, and storage of your heating
and cooling systems?
4. Are you feeding your water treatment chemicals at the correct location?

MAINTENANCE OF GLYCOL PROTECTED HEAT TRANSFER FLUIDS IN HVAC SYSTEMS.....
Most heat transfer fluids in HVAC systems are protected from freezing with glycol additives. Many of these glycol solutions contain inhibitors to protect the system from corrosion. Unfortunately these corrosion inhibitors, know as "reserve alkalinity" are not permanent.
All glycols oxidize when exposed to air (oxygen) and heat. When this happens corrosive organic acids form in the fluid, depleting the fluid of the reserve alkalinity necessary to fight corrosion.
Additional inhibitors may be added to the heat transfer fluid to replace the depleted reserve alkalinity and/or metal passivation agents. Testing of glycol treated heat transfer fluids assures both adequate freeze protection levels, and proper corrosion protection additive levels in these systems.
